Man And Gear covers watches, cars, technology, style, drinks, everyday gear and anything else we think is, well, cool. We look for products with something worth explaining: a useful feature, an interesting design or a tradeoff that matters before you buy.
Our aim is to help you understand what a product offers, what it costs and what remains unproven. A launch announcement can tell us what a manufacturer promises. It cannot tell us how a watch feels on the wrist, how a car rides or how a pair of shoes holds up after months of use.
Every article is edited before publication
All content is edited before it is posted. Editorial review checks the writing, factual claims, source attribution and the distinction between reporting and opinion. Prices, release dates and availability are checked against the sources available at the time of publication.
We use manufacturer announcements, product pages, instruction manuals and technical documentation to establish specifications. Where a claim needs context, we consult relevant research or other authoritative sources. We link to supporting information so readers can examine the evidence themselves.
Reporting and hands-on experience
We distinguish product news and analysis from hands-on reviews. When we have not handled, worn, driven or tested a product, we say so. Manufacturer performance figures remain attributed claims unless we have independently verified them.
A useful review should explain how the product was evaluated and the limits of that evaluation. Product photographs, specifications and a press release are not substitutes for first-hand testing.
What the staff byline means
“Man And Gear staff” is the publication’s shared editorial byline, rather than the identity of a single author. It identifies coverage published under the site’s editorial responsibility. The byline does not imply that every article involved multiple writers or a hands-on test.
Accuracy and corrections
Prices, specifications and stock status can change after an article is published. We distinguish announced release dates and estimates from confirmed availability and measured results.
If you spot an error, please use our Contact page and include the article link, the statement in question and a supporting source. Our correction standard is to fix factual errors and explain material changes that affect a reader’s understanding.
