Garrison Brothers’ Second Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon Arrives November 14

A second bottled-in-bond bourbon in one year is a useful sign of how seriously Garrison Brothers is taking the category. The Hye, Texas, distillery has announced a fall 2026 release distilled in October 2020, aged six years and bottled at 100 proof. The suggested retail price is $89.99. The first bottles are scheduled for November 14 at the distillery, so this is a release preview, not a tasting review.

The initial 1,000 bottles are designated for the distillery’s Red, White & Bourbon event, with public gates opening at 8 a.m. and sales first come, first served. Remaining bottles move to the gift shop November 16. Garrison Brothers says e-commerce and select retailers, bars and restaurants should receive the release by the end of November; it expects 19,500 bottles in all. That is a meaningful production run, but distribution by state and store can still vary. The official event page also advertises presale access with an event ticket; check its conditions before making a trip.

What does bottled-in-bond mean?

The U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau’s guidance defines bottled-in-bond whiskey through production and labeling rules: one distiller, one distillery, one distilling season, at least four years in bonded storage, and bottling at exactly 100 proof. Garrison Brothers’ six-year age exceeds that minimum. The designation gives buyers a clearer production history and fixed strength. It does not certify that one bottle will taste better than another. Heat, barrel selection and blending still matter.

There is also a useful comparison with the distillery’s own first 2026 bonded release. That earlier bourbon came from fall 2019 distillation and carried a $99.99 suggested price, according to Garrison Brothers. The new batch is a year younger in distillation vintage but also six years old at release, with a $10 lower listed price. The brand describes brown sugar, cinnamon, white pepper, leather and vanilla notes in the new whiskey; those are its tasting notes, not our observations. The bottle shown in the accompanying photo is the earlier 2026 expression, because an official photo of the new bottle was not available for this draft.

Why It’s Cool

The bond rules make this release unusually easy to place: one fall’s whiskey, one Texas distillery, six years in wood and a fixed 100-proof pour. The $89.99 price makes it easier to consider opening rather than storing.
